Mr. Brecher is a founding member of the Firm. He has been in practice for over thirty years, representing numerous lending institutions, mortgage companies, private individuals and business entities. Mr. Brecher is a specialist in the field of 1031 Tax Free Exchanges. He advises clients in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions, business development and financing, and corporate and business practices. Mr. Brecher's practice also includes corporate and probate law.

 

Mr. Brecher is Treasurer of 1031 Exchange Clearinghouse, Inc.,, a premier 1031 Tax Free Qualified Intermediary which  assists in complex Reverse and Construction Exchanges as well as acting as a Qualified Intermediary. He is past special advisor to First American Exchange, LLP. He has lectured on tax free exchanges, title examination, foreclosures, short sales and other real estate related matters for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., Lorman Education Services, First American Title Insurance Company, T D Bank, Greater Salem Real Estate Brokers and the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA). In addition, he is an agent for First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity Title Insurance Company, Old Republic Title Insurance Company and Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company.. He is the Editor of "Massachusetts Mortgage Foreclosures and Loan Workouts (MCLE)".

 

Mr. Brecher was named a Massachusetts "Super Lawyer" by Boston Magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (1969) and Suffolk University Law School (1972). He is admitted to the Massachusetts and Federal Bars, and is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts.
