Ms. Harvey is honored to have been named a Massachusetts "Super Lawyer" by Boston Magazine in 2004, 2005, and 2006.

She joined BWSF&B as an associate in the fall of 2000 and was invited to become a partner in January of 2002. She is a member of the Litigation and Tax Free Exchange Departments.

Ms. Harvey’s litigation practice focuses on civil litigation, professional liability, disciplinary and employment defense. She specializes in complex litigation cases including commercial, corporate and real estate litigation, product and premises liability, contract and shareholder disputes and transactional litigation including collections, foreclosures and loan work-outs.

Ms. Harvey also handles a wide variety of employment law matters, including the defense of employers in civil and administrative proceedings, and the drafting of employment documents, including employee handbooks, non-compete agreements, contracts and severance agreements.

Ms. Harvey also has experience in the examination of real estate titles, real estate transactions and the drafting of loan documentation. Her experience with 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges includes, but is not limited to, reverse and construction exchanges.

In addition to her litigation and real estate experience, Ms. Harvey practices before the United States Bankruptcy Court representing creditors and creditors' committees in bankruptcy proceedings, including adversary proceedings, debtor examinations and obtaining relief from automatic stay.

Ms. Harvey has been practicing law since 1991 and is a member of the Bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She came to the Firm from Brown, Diffenderffer & Kearney in Baltimore, Maryland (1998-2000), Rubin & Rudman and Tedeschi, Grasso & Mortensen in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ms. Harvey is admitted to practice in the following courts: the Supreme Court of the United States, the Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Bankruptcy Court (1st Cir.), the Maryland Court of Appeals, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA (1990), and Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, VA, (B.A., History, 1986).
